Animated SVGs

I didn’t even know you could animate SVG images without using JavaScript. Apparently, it can be done in the SVG code itself using SMIL, and it seems to have been around for a while (animations for SMIL were around in the first specification, released in 1998).

I found out from an article on oak.is which explained how to code the animations.

Don’t see the significance? View the full image and zoom in. You’ll notice that there’s no loss in quality.
