Maybe I’m a little late, but I just found out that Firefox 23 no longer supports blinking text! (In my defense, I’m on the Firefox ESR channel, which is currently based on Fx17). So what if it was annoying at times, and so what if no one else supported it? It’s part of the legacy of the Web, even if it was originally just an easter egg in Netscape.
I guess Schrödinger’s cat is not dead after all.

If a feature is removed from an open-source project, there’s probably an add-on or plugin for it. Thankfully, there are at least two add-ons that can restore blinking text: Blink Enable and Restore Blink Tag (restartless).
